Most of Sabzi’s artistic inspirations come from his Persian heritage and memories of his mother. Watching his mother weave Persian rugs for hours during his childhood is mirrored in the color, texture and patterns of his present works.

The Western influences in his paintings come from one of the most creative moments of modernism of Cezanne and Matisse.
