March 28th, 2012

Teri Galleries greatly appreciates the arrival of new C. Lewis Koi Fish Originals. Feast your eyes upon the beauty of nature, the way only C. Lewis knows how to make it come alive in front of your eyes.

A Chinese artist called C. Lewis, Chen Tai-yu was born in 1963. The name C. Lewis was inspired by the pseudonym name of Lewis Carroll who was an American novelist, inventor, teacher and photographer. Lewis (Chen) felt a need to adopt a name that would create a more universal interest in his work. From 1982 to 1985, he studied in the National Central Fine Art Institute in Guangdong. After his graduation, C. Lewis started his career as a professional artist. He is currently holding an associate membership at the National Chinese Artist Association & Guangzhou Graduate School of Oil Painting.

The Vineyards began as a series of painting color from nature or painting light with light itself. The metamorphosis of colored light across vast distances, the reflections of light on the grass, flowers, and trees with enormous skill.Lewis uses his brush like the wind, feeling the movement of this surroundings. This subject soon led to painting the movement in local koi ponds and still life with vegetables and pottery that seem to breathe on the canvas. His artworks have won National acclaim. He has exhibited in Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Chicago.

New Fine Art Disney Originals by Trevor Carlton

March 27th, 2012

Teri Galleries is proud to announce the arrival of four new fine art Disney Originals by Trevor Carlton. Such an amazing artist, with an amazing story about how he became the creator of these masterpieces.

Trevor Carlton was born in 1972 in Olympia, Washington State. Although he took up painting in high school, the first artistic passion that Trevor embraced was acting. He decided to forgo an art scholarship in favor of attending a dramatic arts scholarship at Skagit Valley College.

Trevor next attended the Lee Strasberg Acting Workshop. The following year he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Amidst the chaos of auditions and callbacks, Trevor paid the bills by working in a custom furniture store, specializing in antiquing and faux finish designs.

It was here that a style was born. Using reclaimed lumber as his “canvas”, he started painting images of vintage Americana with subjects ranging from pop icon celebrity to the hey day of jazz. After numerous gallery shows in Los Angeles and private commissions he has now combined his unique style to that most American of symbols, MICKEY MOUSE.

Until this day, his passion and creativity shine through all his works of art. Especially with the newest originals we have received. The stunning vivid colors used are absolutely brilliant.
Newest to the collection is:

The Old is New Again” – Acrylic on Canvas (30 x 30)

Teri Galleries proudly presents new original pieces by MATT LITCHLITER and MILO!

February 3rd, 2012

Litchliter’s – “L’esprit de Carnaval”
The Long Awaited NEW Litchliter is here, and it is even more than expected!
Matt Litchliter’s new Mardi Gras piece “L’esprit de Carnaval” celebrates Carnival.

We are so excited to finally present Matt Litchliter’s Mardi Gras piece, and the detail in it is absolutely outstanding.

Matt has captured one of those precious things that make Mardi Gras special in New Orleans. His highly decorated character orchestrates the celebration of carnival, and mesmerizes us with his dress. It is apparent that the man in the piece is very proud to have on his flashy and heavily decorated costume, believing that he is the handsomest one in the parade.

Matt has added gold leafing to this piece, not only adorning the head dress, but he has graciously also peppered it throughout. He did not skimp on the fine details either, even in the smallest parts he has filled with marks of a fine point brush. I have provided close up visuals of those details for you to see.

Unfortunately the original has already sold, but no real surprise there. However not to fret, there will be a small limited edition of giclees on canvas availale, of which will all be nicely hand embellished and gold leafed by Matt. It is also the first piece in a series of the Mardi Gras pieces to come through the years.

Milo’s – “Raven” and “Ladies Choice”

First we are happy to announce that Milo has been accepted as an Associate member of American Women Artists. This non-profit organization is sponsored by some of the well known names in the art world such as The American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, Faso, and the Scottsdale Artists School. As always we are not surprised by her achievements, but we are always very proud of her.

Her new pieces are not only full of texture, but are a wonderful reflection of her personality, which is both playful and motivated. They give the viewer a picture to a story that the viewer is left to create. In “Ladies Choice” the female cardinal’s distant gaze gives no hint to whom she is going to select. It is left up to us to judge, debate, and choose. It is curious that the “Raven’s” gaze is directed above him. As a scavenger bird, one has to wonder what does he see above him that has caused him to have such an intense stare?

“Painting to me is about experimentation of mediums textures and styles. Like the many characteristics of my personality, I have many different styles that I love to explore.” Milo feels that, as a painter, this gives her work balance. Milo’s goal for each piece is to put what is in her head and within her heart on the canvas, but her challenge with each piece is to capture the feeling of her vision in the painting so the viewer experience what she feels and can relate to her on an emotional level. “I learned that painting could unlock trapped emotions and that even my worst paintings were lessons that would lead me to something special.” Milo work is indeed leading her to special places.

MANY New Sabzi Originals have arrived at Teri Galleries!

February 1st, 2012

Teri Galleries is proud to announce the arrival of plenty of new original pieces by the always amazing artist, Sabzi. We have received more than we can even list, so check out Sabzi in our Featured Artist section and see all these magnificent pieces of work. As always Teri Galleries is excited and thrilled to bring to you these truly beautiful works of art to you.

Sabzi’s paintings resonate both Eastern and Western philosophies. His rich Persian heritage provides him with ancient images and sentimental Persian themes and memories of innocence. The Western source of influences comes from one of the most creative moments of modernism of Cezanne and Matisse.

When viewing the new pieces of Sabzi that we are showing, you can truly see the Persian heritage flow through these masterpieces.
