Each swirl of the brush captures movement, energy and life within Matt’s recent series of New Orleans’ jazz musicians. The viewer is enticed to observe the subtle flutter of the hands as they pass over the instrument as well as the expression of raw energy emitting from each figure.

Bill Hemmerling
The Influence of southern folk culture and many diverse life experiences are incorporated into the eclectic painting of William Hemmerling. Bill was born in Chicago and moved to Ponchatoula, Louisiana in 1977. He is an untrained artist, yet his work reflects sophistication and creativity in both subject matter and the use of unusual materials. Bill is constantly searching for and using found or recycled materials for his one-of-a-kind creations.

Alan Flattmann
Spanning a career of over 4 decades, Alan Flattmann is recognized as one of America's most outstanding and gifted artists. Alan Flattmann was born in the city of New Orleans in 1946. At the age of seventeen, he received a New Orleans Art Association Scholarship to study with the renown regionalist painter John McCrady at the John McCrady Art School in the French Quarter. It was there that his lifetime interest in painting the French Quarter began.

Mickey Asche
Mickey’s story begins with great loss in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Touching brush to canvas for the first time, Mickey discovered an amazing talent hidden inside.  Using this newfound talent, Mickey was fueled by a creative fire that he never knew he had.  Within months Mickey was selling his originals to various frame shops and individual collectors.  In 2008 he was commissioned to product the official Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival poster.  Mickey’s talents quickly led him to a new full-time career as artist.

Goble
Michael Guillory, "Goble'", a name given in childhood, grew up in South Louisiana amid towering oak trees, cypress swamps, and rustic dwellings. As a youth he sketched and participated in school art projects but did not seriously begin his painting career until after he completed his education at the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette. He says of his work, "I always feel great satisfaction when people say that my paintings remind them of a time or of places they knew in their childhood."
